SILFLEX® DOT-APPROVED TYPE 7A CONTAINERS DELIVER SUPERIOR DOSE REDUCTION FOR THE SAFE TRANSPORT AND STORAGE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS.

Available in 50 mL and 1 L sizes, our stainless steel containers utilize a Silflex interlayer to achieve drastic dose reductions. Key features include a stepped lid to eliminate radiation streaming and an optional "Super Shield" high-density insert for the 1L model, which maximizes attenuation for high-activity samples.

Reactor Face Shield

SILFLEX® patented reactor face shield for CANDU nuclear reactor shielding is designed to install over the end fittings at the reactor face to limit personnel dose during outages.

Installing in seconds, providing a 30-40% general area dose reduction on Co-60. The reactor face shield has been optimized through several iterations within Canada, with rounded edges, and is available with or without the tie-off strap.

Spray Shield

SILFLEX® SPRAY AND PUTTY SOLUTIONS DELIVER VERSATILE PROTECTION FOR HARD-TO-REACH AREAS AND COMPLEX GEOMETRIES.

Our spray shielding solution allows for easy on-site application in tight spaces and existing fabrications, curing to provide attenuation identical to solid Silflex. Complementing this, our high-performance putty and foams effectively seal gaps, cracks, and pipe penetrations, ensuring comprehensive coverage where rigid materials cannot reach. Liquid-to-solid pour-on-site options are available.

Transport Container

SILFLEX® transport containers are secure and lightweight for the transfer of hot particles and chemical samples in nuclear facilities. 

Our 1-gallon tinplate steel transport containers are designed for general-purpose applications where particulate and small components can be shielded. These containers can be handled with heavy-duty gloves or equipped with a silicone handle attachment for comfort.

Underhead Shield

SILFLEX® Underhead shielding shows the capabilities of Silflex Premium Magnetic to shield on and around the reactor's many components 

FME shield plugs are used to cap the pipes and hanging Silflex curtains shield around the dome. Installing in minutes, this underhead shield lowers dose rates by over 50% on a mix of Co-60, Co-58, and Cs-137.
