Ring Shield
Silflex ring shield package consists of a metal ring for hanging Silflex sheets using zip ties on the inside and outside diameter. Curved shielding sheets have been located on the top surface of the ring.
The ring shield package is lowered onto the top of a core barrel at a commercial nuclear power plant. This provides shielding to the workers performing non-destructive examinations of the core barrel.
